The knee joint is most commonly involved in painful conditions & injuries. Dr Chan's principle in treating knee problems is - restoration of knee function & long term preservation of knee health. He achieves this goal by using advanced techniques in his knee surgeries.
Dr Chan uses the most advanced techniques in his two most commonly performed surgeries - Computer assisted Knee Replacement & Anatomical ACL Reconstruction.
Dr Chan performs knee replacement surgery using computer assisted technology. Computer assisted surgery (CAS) enables knee replacements to be done more accurately and achieve more consistent results. This potentially enables better long term survival of the knee replacement.
ACL reconstruction surgery is done by Dr Chan using the latest technique of anatomical surgery. The anatomical technique enables the new ACL to be positioned precisely in the knee. This restores the knee to its normal function and preserves the knee cartilage from wearing out and developing osteoarthritis in the future.
